Excellent services by the staff. They were very welcoming, attentive and polite. Table manners were followed. Live music by great musicians and singers. For starters: We ordered Eggplant Guptas and Fried Balls. Both were delicious. For mains: We ordered Chicken Chakhikhbili, Chemqva and Mutton Cooked in Milk, Roasted Pig and Beef Tenderloin by Kakhetian Whey. Our favorite were roasted pig and beef Tenderloin. Both were cooked nicely and juicy. For the chicken and Mutton, we felt that the sauce was too salty, which overpowered the meats. The meats were cooked nicely and tender. Perhaps, separating the sauce would be better so that the customer can control how much they want (like how it was done to the pig and beef). Pinecone Dessert: It was okay. We couldn't ascertain what taste it wanted to present, as there were too many tastes all over the place.

A wonderful experience. From the moment we were welcomed, we felt the amazing service, the atmosphere, the decoration, the musicians who played amazingly, and the food was simply wow. From the wonderful first course, beef tartare, through the cauliflower, and then the amazing sea bass fillet. Everything was fine dining, great flavors, and the service was superb. Of course, we immediately booked a place again for a few more , days. A dream of a restaurant Highly recommended while you visit Tibilisi

This restaurant was nothing short of amazing. I found Barbarestan through Google and was not disappointed! To begin with, the reservation process was amazing with very personalized follow-ups and check-ins prior to my arrival. As I walked in the door, they greeted me by name (maybe I was the last reservation at that time slot to show up). Everything about the service screamed top-notch. The food definitely did not disappoint. These are Georgian dishes that have been up-leveled to something completely amazing. The attention to detail, presenation, and the taste are all without comparison on my trip to Tbilisi. I started with the Eggplant "Guptas" with Greens Sauce. This was a flavor profile so delicious I could have eaten this the whole night. The smokiness of the eggplant, paired with the tangy greens sauce really kicked things off on a high note. The second starter I ordered was on the more traditional line, dambalkhacho, which is hot melted cheese paired with sweet jellies to offset the heaviness of the cheese. Additionally there were breads provided that you could use for dipping or scooping the cheese. If you're a cheese lover, this dish is definitely for you and it is completely authentic to Georgia. For my main dish, I ordered the Chicken "Chakhokhbili". This dish again is an upgrade to a traditional Georgian dish, combining breading and cheese on top of an amazing chicken stew. Everything about the dish was delicious and fulfilling. Despite absolutely stuffing myself, I knew I couldn't leave without trying one of the desserts. For uniqueness, I went with the Pinecone Dessert. It was different, delcious, and defintely picture-worthy. I would 100% order this again, despite the other desserts looking delicious as well. Additionally, they have a great wine menu. Being mostly unfamiliar with Georgian wines, I let the waiter pick for me and it was absolutely delicious. Overall, the service, food, ambiance and presentation give this restaurant a Michelin-quality that should bring the guides to Georgia soon. Check it out before the word gets out!
