I stopped by for a coffee and the experience was truly charming. The best part of the visit was soaking in the incredible, vintage atmosphere of this old cafe—it feels like stepping back in time. The service was exceptional and friendly. The coffee was very good, but the main draw is definitely the beautiful, classic vibe. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique historical cafe experience.

A bit more expensive than the cafes around, the interior is very interesting, plenty of seats outside also. Good quality products and costumer service. Toilets are clean but accessible via stairs.

A Brasileira — A Quiet Ritual in the Heart of Chiado Watched over by António Ribeiro de Chiado’s bronze figure, A Brasileira feels comfortably rooted in its place — a café that’s more about presence than performance. The sun filters through softly, brushing over tables that have seen countless conversations unfold. The Croissant d’A Brasileira, with cherry tomatoes and cheese, arrived warm and flaky, pleasant in its simplicity. The Bica was strong, the kind that anchors a morning, while the toast and egg, Pastéis de Nata, and Bolas de Berlim rounded off the spread with easy familiarity. The flavors don’t chase attention; they settle quietly, as if content to be part of your morning rather than the highlight of it. It’s not about being impressed — it’s about being unhurried. Best for those who enjoy slow moments and soft edges in a city that rarely stops.
